E-TDS registration
The e-TDS Environment system serves as the primary tool for tax withholding authorities. Users are distinguished by their Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN), each consisting of a unique 12-digit sequence. Access to the system is granted to users through the utilization of their respective TINs for logging in. To utilize this system, registration is a prerequisite. Registered users can promptly log in and commence using the system.

Step 7 – After the TCAN has been generated, the selection of the deductor type becomes possible. Upon clicking the drop-down menu, all available categories will be displayed. Users have the option to provide a secondary phone number and email address, along with the website address if available.
Step 8 – For those with a liaison or branch office, inclusion of their information is possible. By selecting the Yes/No button, users can enter all required details accordingly.
Step 9 – Assignment of a Principal Officer, as per the definition in the Income Tax Act, 2023, is mandatory. Users are required to complete all fields pertaining to the Principal Officer.
Step 10 – Upon completion of all mandatory fields, proceed by clicking the Submit button. Following this action, the e-TDS system will present a success message.
Step 11 – Access to the system is now available using your TIN as the user ID and the password that was recently created.
